Labour Day Classic Events Regina Sports Events Congress 2023 Conference Giveaway Contest – Official Rules and Guidelines

  1. Eligibility:
    • The contest is open to individuals who are 18 years or older at the time of entry that are attendees of the Sports Events Congress 2023 Conference in Richmond, British Columbia.
    • Participants must be legal residents of Canada to be eligible.
  2. Contest Period:
    • The contest period will be open during the Sports Events Congress 2023 Conference on June 6, 2023 to June 8, 2023. All entries must be received within this period.
  3. How to Enter:
    • To enter the contest, participants must scan the designated QR code using a compatible mobile device.
    • Upon scanning the QR code, participants will be directed to a specific landing page where they will fill out a form to provide their contact information (e.g., name, email address, phone number).
    • Only one entry per person will be accepted. Multiple entries will result in disqualification.
  4. Winner Selection:
    • The winner will be selected through a random drawing among all eligible entries received during the contest period.
    • The drawing will be conducted within 14 days after the contest ends.
    • The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  5. Winner Notification and Prize Claim:
    • The winner will be notified via the contact information provided during entry (e.g., email or phone call).
    • The winner must respond to the notification within 14 days to claim their prize.
    • If a winner fails to claim the prize within the specified time, another winner may be selected at the discretion of Events Regina.
  6. Prize:
    • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
    • Events Regina reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
  7. Publicity Release:
    • By entering the contest, participants grant Events Regina the right to use their name, likeness, and entry content for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
  8. General Conditions:
    • Events Regina reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest at any time without prior notice.
    • By participating in the contest, participants agree to abide by these official rules and guidelines and the decisions of Events Regina, which are final and binding.
    • Events Regina is not responsible for any technical issues, lost, delayed, or misdirected entries, or any other problems that may prevent participants from entering or claiming their prizes.
    • The contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations of Canada.

Sport Hosting Facilities

Regina is home to one of Canada’s largest meeting and exhibition facilities, which includes a 7,000 seat entertainment centre, six ice-pads under one roof, and a 90,000 sq. ft. pillar-free EventPlex. Regina also boasts over 3,200 sport venues, more than 3,500 hotel rooms, six theatre spaces, a Vegas-style show lounge and state-of-the-art performing arts centres.

In order to take full advantage of our spring and summer months, we offer fabulous outdoor music festival venues and a 32,000 seat open air stadium – home to the legendary Saskatchewan Roughriders football team!

Our city features world-class venues that will enhance your off-site and social events and give your event a unique Saskatchewan flavour.

Regina is proud to have one of the highest volunteerism rates in the country; with 45% of residents volunteering their time to build their communities, propel civic pride, or just to help others in need.

The close proximity of venues, accommodations and the Regina International Airport will make transportation a breeze. The airport is approximately 10 minutes to downtown, to your accommodations, and to a majority of our event facilities. Funding Support

Regina Hotel Association (RHA) – Sponsorship

Every year, the RHA sponsors over 50 events and conventions that are hosted in the city of Regina. To be eligible, the applicant will generate, or have the potential to generate, new hotel room night stays at an RHA member hotel. Applications are considered for event or convention start-up, growth or acquisition, such as hosting a national/international conference.

City of Regina – Event Funding

Application for hosting grant accepted up to 1 year before the date of the event. Funding up to $10,000 for sanctioned amateur championship events at the provincial, Western Canadian, national or international level being held in Regina.

Hosting grants support regional, national, and international amateur sport events hosted in Saskatchewan that build capacity in the sport system (excellence, infrastructure, human resources, participation), maximize economic & community benefits, and promote Saskatchewan culture and values. Provincial Sport Governing Bodies must apply on behalf of the hosting community or organization.

Tourism Saskatchewan -Marketing and Events Partnership Program

The Saskatchewan Event Hosting Strategy is a framework for working with communities, event organizers and key stakeholders to continue to expand the province’s profile, build on momentum and success, and grow tourism.

Grant applications have been divided into four funding streams with application deadlines: March 31 and September 30 of each year.
